My first priority as a therapist is to meet my clients with empathy and compassion, whether you come ready to change, just wanting to talk, or even resentful of needing to talk to a therapist. I use a family systems, solutions-focused, and purpose-driven approach to all my therapeutic work. My work is also informed by life experiences as a military pilot, software engineering director, father of four, and husband of 30 years. In my own process of change, I have experienced the emotional and spiritual healing of family, faith, and community. In addition to my education and training as a marriage and family therapist and substance abuse counselor, I am also a certified chaplain, comfortable in working with faith, grief, and end of life issues. I believe focusing on purpose and faith can keep us walking in the paths that have been created for us. When you work with me you can expect a professional blend of empathy, expertise and flexibility to achieve your goals.
