I have 29 years of experience working with individuals, families, groups and communities.  My experience includes working in family and foster homes, offices, and schools.  I have provided collaborative case management, triage with community agencies, in-school counseling and public speaking.

I believe each of us have innate gifts and that we are born with potential to develop these gifts.  I strive to help each client to identify, discover and develop their gifts and to recognize how they can use them to gain self-direction, emotional healing and personal meaning in life. I specialize in serving those who struggle with both chronic and acute mental health issues. I am skilled in working with diverse populations to include youth, adults, couples and groups.  I have developed an integrated therapeutic style to include solution-focused, person-centered and psychodynamic methods.  Additionally, I implement evidence-based therapy methods, to include Play therapy, Trauma-focused CBT, DBT, Grief, Family systems and Reality therapy.  I realize each client/family has a story to tell.  I provide opportunity to develop a working relationship by practicing active listening, being authentic, honest, respectful, trustworthy and hopeful in my approach toward effectively helping others progress toward identified therapeutic goals.  I am grateful to be a servant-leader to help clients to heal and grow during their time in therapy.
