Brianna Johnson
Therapist
I started my professional life as a Board-Certified Music Therapist working in mental health rehabilitation with offenders in the State of California. I then became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Addictions Counselor in the state of Colorado and have been in practice for 10+ years. My approach to psychotherapy is to discover the source of your struggle and empower you to develop deeper awareness and the skills necessary to solve your own problems so that you can repeat these solutions as you face new challenges in the future. I work with individuals struggling with both chronic and acute mental health issues. I come from a Psychodynamic educational background and I use various evidenced-based treatment techniques from a number of modalities, including CBT and DBT, depending on my client’s problems and needs. Seeking therapy is a courageous and vulnerable step and it shows you have reached a place where you want to heal, grow, and improve. I am honored to be entrusted with helping individuals reach their fullest potential in life.
I also teach various courses to college students who are entering the field of Counseling, Social Work, and Criminal Justice. I am a Colorado Native who is lucky to have lived in various areas of the country. I currently live in Pueblo, Colorado and I am a proud mother of two boys and step-mother of two girls. I am a musician and a skier and also enjoy hiking, golfing, and sight-seeing with my husband and family.
